About These Terms

By using this site or placing an order, you agree to the terms set out on this page. They apply to every visitor, every order, and every commission.

If something here doesn't sit right, or you'd like clarification before ordering, write to hello@plastheticstudio.com. We'd rather answer a question than leave a misunderstanding.

The Studio

Plasthetic.s is a sculptural objects studio based in Beykoz, Istanbul. Each piece is cast, finished, and signed by hand in small editions.

Orders are placed directly with the studio, not through a third-party retailer. When you buy a piece, you are buying it from the maker.

Pricing and Payment

Prices are shown in US Dollars (USD). The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Taxes, if applicable, are stated before you confirm the order.

Custom commissions are quoted separately. A 50% deposit is taken at the start of the work, with the balance due before shipping. The deposit reserves studio time and covers initial materials.

Made-to-Order and Ready-to-Ship

Most pieces are made-to-order. Production takes 3 to 5 weeks from the date the order is placed. A smaller number of pieces are kept ready-to-ship and noted as such on their page.

Cancellation windows differ between the two. Ready-to-ship pieces can be cancelled before dispatch; made-to-order pieces can be cancelled within a short window after the order is placed, before casting begins. See the Returns page for the full timeline.

Shipping

Shipping is arranged from Istanbul to collectors worldwide. Methods, lead times, and responsibility for customs duties are set out on the Shipping page.

Returns and Warranty

Returns are handled case by case, with rules that depend on whether a piece was ready-to-ship or made-to-order. The Returns page covers this in full.

Every piece is covered by a studio warranty against making and material defects. The Warranty page sets out what is and isn't covered, and how to bring something to us if it ever needs attention.

Intellectual Property

All works, photographs, written descriptions, and site content are the property of Plasthetic.s. The pieces are released as small editions. Buying a piece does not transfer the right to reproduce, cast, or commercially photograph it.

If you'd like to use an image of your piece for an exhibition, publication, or interior project, write to us. Permission is usually given, but we'd like to know.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any piece is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses (installation costs, lost revenue, or damage to surrounding items) beyond that amount.

This does not limit any rights you have under Turkish consumer law that cannot be waived by agreement.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly with the studio will be heard by the courts of Istanbul.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time: to reflect new practices, new materials, or a clearer way of saying something. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date below.
